Declaring war on Evony ads

By on August 13, 2010
Print Friendly

I’ve had enough. I want the Evony ads gone from GAMESbrief. They aren’t relevant to my audience and there are far too many of them.

I used the Competitive Ad filter in Google AdSense and added evony.com.

No difference.

I did some more digging and added evony.net and evonyonline.com.

Still no difference.

So now I have blocked the following URLs:

  • chooselucky.com
  • clickevony.com
  • comeplaymylord.com
  • evony-game.com
  • evony.com
  • evony.net
  • evonyarmorgames.com
  • evonycents.com
  • evonyfacebook.com
  • evonyfreeonlinegames.com
  • evonygame.com
  • evonygamezer.com
  • evonyhome.com
  • evonyminiclip.com
  • evonymyspace.com
  • evonyonline.com
  • evonyonlinegames.com
  • evonystartvg.com
  • evonyy8.com
  • evonyyoutube.com
  • evonyzombol.com
  • hellogamesonline.com
  • blueseawar.com
  • bugutomorrow.com
  • hotevony.com
  • playevony.com
  • playnowmelord.com
  • playnowmylord.com
  • sweetgameonline.com
  • sweetgamesonline.com
  • theevony.com
  • topevony.com
  • evonyone.com
  • evonyone.com
  • evonytwo.com
  • evonythree.com
  • evonyfour.com
  • evonyfive.com
  • evonysix.com
  • evonyseven.com
  • evonyeight.com
  • evonynine.com

That’s the full list from this thread on the AdSense forums. I hope that’s any. If you see any more Evony ads, please let me know and I’ll get the fumigators in again.
