Want an example of a good F2P game for core gamers? No problem, here’s 100 of them

By on May 20, 2014

I often get asked to name F2P games that “get it right”. That usually means ones that appeal to core gamers, and are like “how games are meant to be”, which is a shame, because my favourite F2P games are nothing like that: Triple Town, Hay Day, Candy Crush Saga, Another Case Solved, Pocket Trains, Tiny Tower and more.

But luckily for me, GamesRadar has put together a list of the 100 best F2P games on PC and console that are free-to-play and, by their reckoning, good.

“We’ve rounded up the 100 best free games available on PC and consoles right now, in no particular order. Think most of them will be cheap MMOs and five-minute indie games? Think again. We’ve got shooters, strategy, sims, driving games, text adventures and, yes, a handful of fantasy MMORPGs (but you’d be better off checking out our complete list of best free MMORPGs). We think you’re guaranteed to find something you like in this list and, fortunately, you won’t have to pay a penny to find out…”
