3D Realms shuts down – Duke Nukem status unclear

Shacknews is reporting that 3D Realms has shut down. The company has been working on Duke Nukem Forever for 12 years, and has apparently run out of funding.

3D Realms has let employees go. We’re working on trying to find out how many.

Take-Two has also told Shacknews that while it was not funding the development, it has publishing rights for Duke Nukem Forever.
