Last week, we announced that Nicholas would run his hugely successful GAMESbrief Business Masterclass in a special session ahead of GDC in San Francisco. These masterclasses have been a huge success, running dozens of times for hundreds of participants over the past few years – but almost exclusively in Europe. The pre-GDC classes will be a great opportunity for our American readers (or those travelling to GDC from abroad) to get involved.

The Sunday event is filling up fast, and we’re delighted with the level of interest we’ve had so far – so here’s a gentle reminder that you’ve only got five days left to pick up a ticket at a great big 33% discount. The discounted tickets may even be gone before then – the Sunday event is over half full already! After that, we’ll continue selling them at the full price ($600) until our capacity is totally full.

You can buy a ticket for the Sunday Masterclass here. Alternatively, we’ve announced a Friday event which will run if there’s sufficient interest (but don’t worry – if you register for Friday and it doesn’t happen, we’ll be happy to transfer you to a Sunday ticket if you like). Register for the Friday one here.

If you’re in the business of making money from games, we think a GAMESbrief Masterclass is one of the best investments you can make (Zoya posted earlier this week about the topics we cover) – but don’t take our word for it. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve had from attendees at previous Masterclass sessions:

Nicholas Lovell’s one-day workshop was comprehensive, insightful, creative and entertaining, but more than that it was inspirational. Nobody understands how games can be monetised like him, and nobody explains it better.

James Wallis, Spaaace

Incredible masterclass with Nicholas Lovell today… If you have the opportunity to attend any, do so!

Chris Grannell, Red Ninja Studios

Really enjoyed the masterclass yesterday. It was full of interesting ideas and techniques, and I think I got as much from the feedback you provided to others as I did from the lectures.

Derek Hartin, Naturalmotion

A good sign that you have enjoyed a workshop is how fast the day goes… 5 o’clock came around very quickly!!

Belinda Peach, Peachy

The information was extremely useful, the delivery was infectiously enthusiastic and extremely sharp.

Kevin Doolan, Ideal Binary

I really enjoyed yesterday. You hit everything I’m reading/discussing and thinking about at the moment, and it excites and fascinates me what can be achieved with these simple mechanics.

Todd Gibbs, Naturalmotion
