How do you make people take more exercise? By turning stairs into a piano

I love this video on many levels. As someone who works with games, I completely believe that you can use fun to create desired outcomes (like more exercise, more learning or just more happiness).

But I also love the fact that this is a viral ad, paid for by Volkswagen, that made me smile.

I so prefer the new advertising (viral, offbeat, entertaining, up to us if we want to watch and share it) to the old (push, interruptive, watch if you want to or not).

And woe betide any advertiser (or media owner) who isn’t watching this change like a hawk.
